The Life sketch of Baghavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar
There is a saying that “ The Holy hill Arunachala welcomes all the Yogis and wise persons “
Yogi was close to Kapadia Baba who lived in Nardhara on the banks of the Ganges. From time to time young boy Yogi received guidance from Kapadia Baba for his spiritual needs.
Twice during his school days, Yogi clearly heard the voice of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda's message is " The life you are now living is yours; a spiritual life awaits you. "
Yogi studied Thulsi Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita in depth. He also undertook severe fasts. Kapadia Baba advised Yogi to surrender to a Guru and receive Upadesha. Yogi wandered in the lap of Himalayas in search of guru. Kapadia Baba then directed Young Yogi on a southward journey in search of his Guru,
He traveled to Pondicherry by train in April 1947. He continued his journey even after he lost his ticket and money bag from the train. In Andhra state he was dropped from the train for want of train ticket. . He spent the night in a school. In the morning he explained his situation to the headmaster of the school and continued his journey to Pondicherry with the help of the school students who donated money for purchasing a ticket for further journey.
In April 1947, Yogi was initially not allowed inside the Pondicherry Aravindashram due to his dirty clothes and appearance. Mother, Aravind Ashram , witnessed the scene from upstairs and directed to allow him inside the ashram. . After that he was well looked after by a brahmachari in Aravindasram.
He stayed at Aravindasram for three days. Yogi enjoyed a sense of peace in Aravindasram and realized that the peace was Aurobindo. It was there that he became convinced that an enhanced state of human life was possible.
Next he traveled to Tiruvannamalai to visit Sri Ramana Maharishi He stayed at Ramanasram for few days. Maharishi impressed Yogi a lot. His compassion towards animals and the way he interacted with them made the Yogi realize the extent of divine love. Deep changes began to take place within the yogi. Suddenly a newspaper cutting about Kerala Anandasram came to Yogi's attention and he immediately traveled to Kerala.
Yogi stayed in Anandasram for three days only. He got Papa Ramdasa Darshan. But Yogi did not feel much attraction and returned to Thiruvannamalai Ramanasramam. At the end of the summer he returned to his place in North India.
During the summer vacation of 1948 Yogi again visited South India. First he went to Pondicherry Aurobindo Ashram. He wrote a note in English to Sri Mother, She read it and send a bouquet of flowers to Yogi. The Yogi himself has mentioned that when he touched those flowers he was in a kind of ecstasy.
In 1948 summer visit , Yogi stayed at Ramanashram for a month. This time Sri Ramana was suffering from cancer and was being treated for it. Yet Sri Ramana's eyes of compassion deeply penetrated the Yogi. As the yogi bowed down to him with soul thirst, Ramana Maharishi said "Sari" (Ok) . This is the first Tamil word Yogi learned, that too from Shri Ramana Maharishi !
This time also Yogi went to Kerala and stayed at Anandashram for three days. Papa Ramadas did not reveal himself but hide himself from the Yogi. But this time Yogi bought many books written by Baba Ramdas.
